This bridge is located near where Kentucky Avenue and US 218 meet and is believed to be haunted by a local girl who was having an affair with a married doctor and killed herself by hanging herself from the bridge. She died on her birthday and legend says that she can be seen hanging from the bridge each year on that day. In 1972, the bridge became more well-known when the book “Irene Hughes on Psychic Safari” by Brad Steiger told of psychic Irene Hughes’ dealings with the bridge.
