American Theatre
Cherokee, IA 51012
Many believe that this theater is haunted by Mr. Goldie, a previous owner. There is a seat that is known to rock slowly by itself.

This place is definitely haunted. I’ve been there dozens of times. One time I was in a theater with maybe one other person. The seat next to me raised like someone was getting up. The woman who runs it is the kindest woman and clearly respects whatever is there. Right across the street is an old building called the Brunner building that was recently renovated. I guess there has been activity there too. There is also MHI just up the hill.

I went to the theater on March 12th I felt a sharp pain on my right inner calf, when I left I saw a single scratch. I was in the middle part 3rd row from the front on the outside line.
