This pond is believed to be haunted and locals tell the story of strange events that happen on December 23rd at 8:47 PM. It is reported that if you visit the iced-over pond on that night, you can hear pounding on the ice and hear a young boy screaming from beneath the ice. The boy had apparently been ice fishing when he fell through the ice and drowned.
