Local legend of this bridge says that a mother once killed all three of her kids here. Some say she hung them from the bridge and they were hit by a train. Her ghostly head is said to follow you down the road and apparently if your doors or windows aren't locked, she will try to make her way inside your car, trying to throw you off the bridge. It was reported that the bridge was taken down and rebuilt in 2004.

  • Fingerprints on My Car

Myself, my husband, and my teenage daughter went to this bridge tonight. While we were there we heard a train engine idling (no trains were there), heard a faint distant train whistle, saw lights in the woods, saw a shadow move into the woods, and felt we were being watched. After we left the bridge, we pulled over to look at the car. There were small fingerprints on all 4 doors (weren't there before) on the lower part of the doors and fingerprints on the passenger's side window.

  • very scared!

So me and my friends went there one time and nothing happened. after we left i fell asleep and kept having dreams about finding bones and shoes in my trunk. me and my friends decided to go again and it sounded like a girl whispered something to us so we drove off very quickly. then we recently went again and nothing happen but a very eerie feeling. now strange things are happening, me and my friend walked into my house at 12:00 and it sounded like a little kid said something to us and i thought it was my nephew but he wasn’t there. then my bathroom door opens by itself and then like 5 minutes later my curtain feel down. now it is currently 12:08am and my alarm went off at 12:00 and i didn’t set it. can anyone help or tell me what’s going on.

  • Possibly went to the wrong bridge?

So the directions I found online took us to a bridge outside of Fort Dodge but it didn't quite fit the description. Instead of a road passing over the train tracks the road passed UNDER the tracks. So the story of the woman throwing her kids off the bridge in front of the train doesn't exactly make sense.. however it was still a creepy place to visit at night considering it was a gravel road pretty much in the middle of nowhere so 4/10?
