Alice French House
Davenport, IA 52803
This mansion was once the home to the notable writer, who spent her time here during the warmer months. Her father was the town mayor and was the original owner of the home, and it is his spirit that is rumored to linger the premises. Witnesses have reported seeing a distinguished man wearing an old-fashioned suit sitting in the parlor room, seeing lights turn on and off on their own, and doors slamming shut by themselves. Ghostly voices and cold spots have also been reported in the basement.
The mansion was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

Reviews
I lived in apartment 2 for 8 years and the only 'ghost' I saw was my stepdad going to the restroom after he died like two weeks before.
