Cresco Theatre & Opera House

The Cresco Theatre and Opera House is known as one of the top 10 most haunted theaters in all of the Midwest. The theater dates back to 1915 and has featured live performances and modern motion pictures. It is still in operation today and is said to be haunted by more than just one ghostly spirit. Witnesses have reported what appear to be ghosts of vaudeville performers on the stage, while another report speaks of a ghost who has been spotted sitting in the theater while the lights are off, disappearing when anyone tries to approach it. Some other entities have been reported in the basement of the theater, where strange electrical disturbances are known to occur, along with odd sounds and voices that are heard when the place is empty.
