What's new at Scream Acres for 2026? Do you have any new rides, attractions, or special features that Haunt Seekers should know about?

We are always making changes and improvements to each haunted house so your experience is new and different year to year! We are focusing on improvements and adding new scenes to the Cell Block Z and the Haunted Cornfield this year!

What are you most excited about for the 2026 Halloween Season?

We are excited to invite people back our haunted scream park this year! The experience is going to bigger and better than ever before with improvements to our scenes, and a focus on improving our scare factor!

What differentiates Scream Acres from other local haunts in Iowa?

Scream Acres is not just a haunted house - we offer a haunted scream park experience including 4 different haunted houses, a live DJ, beer garden for those 21+ older, food venues, gift shop, games and midway activities, and industry leading line entertainment. Scream Acres offers a total experience that is impossible to forget.

How long has Scream Acres been in business? Can you tell us a bit more about Scream Acres's history?

We have been in business for over 20 years. We are a 7th generation farm and we also host seasonal daytime festivals in the Spring, Summer, and Fall. We are passionate about creating experiences for people, and the Scream Acres experience is Top Notch!

What's your favorite experience since opening Scream Acres?

Our favorite experiences are each time we see families and groups of friends laughing and enjoying their time together here at our farm.

How long is a typical haunt experience at Scream Acres from start to finish?

Our haunted attraction from the time a person gets in the que line through the last haunt is about 45 minutes of spine-chilling screams!

On a scale from 1 to 10, how scary would you say Scream Acres is? Why?

We are a 10! Our actors are top-notch and trained to scare! We are full of pop scare and screams!

What inspired you to open up a haunted attraction? What's your favorite part of the business?

Our favorite part of the business is creating a fun and scary experience for friends and family to enjoy together!

How has new technology (i.e. animatronics, special props, etc) helped you to enhance Scream Acres?

Yes, we use animatronics, special props, and pop scare tactics to take our guests experience to the next level.

Can Scream Acres accommodate large groups? How many people can experience Scream Acres together as a group?

Yes! We are a large farm that can accommodate large crowds.
